An increasingly popular alternative to covering concrete with tile is
to make the surface both decorative and functional. Concrete can be treated
with stains or colorants to create a rich variety of hues and textures. The
resulting floor finishes combine beauty and creativity with the economy,
durability, and practicality of concrete. Below are two examples of
the work we have done.
Sealers and Waxes - The mistake we see other floor maintenance and
janitorial companies make is not properly apply any finish or just using the
polyurethane as the final coat. This will only last a short time and
the floor will dull. Depending on the how heavily the floor is used,
sealers or waxes need to be applied after the polyurethane coat.
Periodically, wax should be maintained, renewed or reapplied, but daily
maintenance is as simple as daily mopping.
